Henrie Elementary School

Mesquite ISD is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy environment for every student. Every adult in our district has pledged to protect the emotional and physical health and safety of our young people so they experience a feeling of belonging, a sense of purpose and achieve their own individual excellence.

Mesquite ISD employs registered nurses at every campus. Your school nurse will work with students and their families, school personnel, the community and health care providers to advocate for student health and a healthy school environment.   

Every campus also has at least one dedicated school counselor trained to support and equip students for academic achievement, as well as healthy personal and social development. 

Brighter Bites is a nonprofit that delivers fresh fruits and vegetables directly into families’ hands. We teach them how to use it and track their behavior change.  We make it fun. We make it free.

Pick up is done by parents from 2:45-3:40 on distribution days.

In 2018, Travis Fredercick, a former Dallas Cowboy player, opened his 2^nd food pantry as part of his Blocking Out Hunger Foundation. This pantry is application based and has distributions every Thursday after school. Parents must complete an application with our school counselor prior to receiving any items from the pantry.

Pediatric Mobile Clinic Location Monthly

Clinic hours: 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM

You do not have to have students enrolled in MISD to visit our clinic.
